PRS Hollowbody II Piezo 10 Top in Fire Red Burst, Pre-Owned

$5,299.00

Paul Reed Smith Guitars, established in 1985, began in a small workshop in Annapolis, Maryland, where founder Paul Reed Smith aimed to create high-quality guitars that combined artistry with exceptional performance. The company quickly gained a reputation for innovative designs, precision craftsmanship, and the use of premium materials. PRS guitars became popular among musicians across various genres, drawing attention for their striking aesthetics and versatile sound. Throughout the years, the brand has expanded its lineup, introducing iconic models like the Custom 24 and the McCarty, while remaining committed to fine craftsmanship. PRS has also made waves by forming collaborations with celebrated guitarists, further solidifying its place in the premium guitar market.

This PRS is in excellent condition with no aesthetic wear to note and comes with the hardshell case. From the PRS website,

"With brilliant acoustics and a vast array of tones, the Hollowbody II has been a constant favorite in our dynamic lineup of hollow instruments. The combination of the maple top and back with mahogany sides provides tonal clarity and extraordinary resonance.

The LR Baggs/PRS Piezo System comes standard, providing musicians with the versatility of wielding both acoustic and electric guitar tones in one instrument. There are two output jacks on the Hollowbody II Piezo, allowing guitarists to plug into their favorite electric guitar or acoustic guitar amp or DI into a soundboard. By utilizing the separate blend control, the tone of the Hollowbody II Piezo's 58/15 LT pickups can also be combined with acoustic sounds through a single output.

For 2024, PRS Guitars is updating the tuning machines on many of our Core guitars. While, aesthetically, our new Wing buttons are designed to echo the 12th fret bird wingspan design, they were first and foremost designed for tonal reasons all the way back in 1982. Because these buttons are lighter weight than their metal predecessors, they are subtracting less energy from the vibrating strings, thus helping the guitar ring longer and at a more musical note. The removal of the tuner’s locking feature on non-tremolo-equipped guitars further decreases their weight."
